Archaeological note about 'Bo-na-cille', that there were stones with lime coming up with hooks and that there was the form of a church and [circle] there. Also notes that Cladh Baile-na-Cille is the name of the graveyard now at Scarista [Bodha na Cille and Scarasta both Na Hearadh/Isle of Harris].

Scope and Contents Archaeological note entitled 'Hoilisgeir' [possibly Trolaisgeir/Trollasker, Uibhist a Deas/South Uist], which reads 'Remains of house eye of Kiln + fire place (sorn) + dyke on top of Pabby Harris 50 acres lost.' [Pabbay, Na Hearadh/Isle of Harris]. The note also states that there is lime on ruins at Kildonan [Cill Donnain, Uibhist a Deas/South Uist] and that a Mrs Macgill[ivra]y said she saw it when she was a 'lassie' and that it had 'tangles sticking out'. Scope and Contents Biographical notes on Aulay MacAulay and Tormod Clèireach [Norman MacIver], telling how Aulay MacAulay died in 1760 and that he was the son of Fear Bhreinish [Dugald MacAulay, Brenish, Eilean Leòdhais/Isle of Lewis]. There is a note of a daughter who left at fifteen years old although it is not clear if it is Dugald or Aulay's daughter. Aulay is noted as having three daughters. Also mentioned is a family member living with Aulay's brother-in-law Rev Mr Hamilton at Hoy, Orkney [Arcaibh]....

Fenian story collected from Alexander Urquhart, manager to Alexander MacRae, known as Fear Huisnis, probably at Abhainnsuidhe, Harris [Huisnis/Huishnish, Na Hearadh]. The story includes an aside about a type of pine candle once used throughout the Highlands and remembered by the reciter.
